As if the official website of 2008 presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) was not offensive enough in allowing groups like the New Black Panther Party post a presence, Bill Levinson of Israpundit discovered that on February 14, 2008, Obama blogger ShaeSmith wrote a post entitled "Hillary vs Obama: The Slavery Perspective."
Levinson wrote April 4, 2008:
"Note the blogger’s use of low-class 'Black English' to denigrate Black Democrats who support Clinton. This site is under Barack Obama’s editorial control, and a posting like this is entirely consistent with his own Black identity politics or even Black Nationalist politics; the African-American counterpart of the Stormfront White Nationalist Community."
ShaeSmith's Blogger profile states that she is in marketing with Epiphany Public Relations in Atlanta, Georgia. ShaeSmith indicates that she operates several blogs, including ones entitled The Fierce Urgency of NOW - The Case for OBAMA and Election 2008, which is less-than-flattering to Sen. Hillary Clinton.
One profile for Shae Smith—full name Mischandra Shae Smith—clearly indicates that she is both a well-educated (May 1999 - Georgia State University Bachelors in Marketing) and talented media professional, making her racially-charged essay on Obama's website inexplicable.

Now is she hired by Obama's campaign, or perhaps by a sub contractor?
I'm always curious to know how many of these independent bloggers are really just media shills for a candidate, paid to blog?
That's an excellent question. Unfortunately, RW does not know the answer. Perhaps someone will.
The author in question lives in an Atlanta suburb. Atlanta politics is like a "lite" version of the Chicago snakepit.
Unfortunately, there are far too many like-minded residents of Metro Atlanta...
