Obama quits church—too little, too late (Updated)

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) resigned his membership at Trinity United Church of Christ, which he attended since 1985 under the spiritual guidance of his hate-filled pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, more than 20 years too late.

Amy Chozick of the Wall Street Journal reported May 31, 2008, that Sen. Obama's departure was confirmed by his campaign.

MSNBC's First Read reported Sen. Obama's resignation "came just more than a month after Obama denounced former Trinity pastor and friend the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and days after another long-time Obama associate, the Rev. Michael Pfleger, had delivered a sermon at the church ridiculing Hillary Clinton."

Obama throws Trinity under the bus. In Larry Johnson's post, "Barack’s Hallelujah Moment?", he writes "A burning question is why is Barack doing this now? Could it be that since there are no more primaries in states with significant numbers of African Americans he can throw those folks away?"

This is typical Obama campaign tactics to change the dialogue. We've seen it happen after every primary loss since Super Tuesday back on February 5th.

Instead of talking about the disenfranchisement of Florida and Michigan voters, and the clearly wrongheadedness of awarding him with Michigan delegates he didn't earn (because he voluntarily removed his name from the Michigan ballot), not to mention 4 delegates that have been taken away from Sen. Clinton, Sen. Obama will have the media spin fully focused on his awesome wisdom in throwing TUCC under the bus—now that he doesn't need any more black voters.

Well, it only took 20 years and the absolute disgust by millions of Americans for him to move his ass out of there. Clearly he did not leave based on any capacity for discretion - he did it for political expediency. What a typical political porker.

Well it's official. There is no more room under Obama's bus. He apparently announced that he was leaving Trinity Church. Wow. More courage and loyalty in action. Hmmmm. He needs whitey's vote, and there aren't any blacks in South Dakota or Montana.....not very many in Puerto Rico....so why not? He got all the black support he needed earlier in the spring. Now....he needs to make nice to the blue-eyed devils. Bye, bye much beloved church....and uncle/mentor.
This guy would sell anyone down the river for votes.

Leaving, now, still doesn't explain to voters WHY he stayed at TUCC for so long.

He had better get a bigger bus, because if the MSM ever begins to fully explore his Chicago corruption and Marxist ties, he'll be tossing a few more of his friends under the wheels.
